MEMBER PROFILE 2 (NURUL NABILA BT HELMI ZAMIR)

    

  I am Nurul Nabila binti Helmi Zamir which also known as Bell or Bella. I am 24 years old and live at Taman Keramat, Kuala Lumpur with my family.  I have 5 siblings, one older brother and three younger sisters. I was born on 16^th January 1992 at Poliklinik Kotaraya, Taman Melawati Sealngor.  I took my first education since I was 5 years old at Capital Kindergarden and further primary school at SRK Jalan Gurney II. My secondary school was near to my house where it is located at Amapang named Ampang Road Girl School.  I took accounts stream during high school. After finishing secondary school, I get the opportunity to further my study by taking Diploma in Office Management and Technology at UiTM Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.  I graduated on 2013.  During my diploma, I gain a lot of experiences staying far away from home.  At first, I got homesick and keep calling my mum every single day. I was afraid of staying at someone else’s place because I was not used to stay far from home.  I miss home so much.  I only went back to Kuala Lumpur once in a 5 months.  But if the semester got Hari Raya Celebration, I get the chance to come home twice in 5 months.  It was very challenging at fist but starting at semester 3, I started to blend in and get used to places around Kuching, Sarawak.  I get a lot of friends from Sabah, Sarawak and also from peninsular Malaysia which comes from many country.  It was the best moment of my life.

      After graduating, I decided to find my own carrier by working at Tesco Headquarters as Tenant Fit-Out Assistant. But, it only lasts for 3 months because I received the offer letter by UiTM to further my study at UiTM Puncak Perdana.  The course the I am going to take was Bachelor Degree in Information Management (hons) Records Management.  This course was actually my first choice during the selection of courses when I applied degree online during my last semester of Diploma.  At first I can’t believe that I got the course that I wished for and I am pretty excited to learn new things as I switched course from Office Management to Information Management. My first day in UiTM Puncak Perdana went well.  The registration day was not being held too long and I managed to get a hostel room which located at level 5.  It was pretty disappointing but I did not really thought so much about it because I was thrilled with the environment at UiTM PUncak Perdana.  Even though the space is smaller than the one at Kota Samarahan, I found it easier for me to reach class early as I do not have to walk far from the location I am staying.

      My first impression on Faculty of Information Management was it has the best facilities and I am comfortable being here to futher my study.  The location is far from the busyness of factories or cars because in my way here, all I saw was green nature.  For my program, Records management gave me a lot of new knowledge that are useful and very interesting.  The lecturers are also very supportive and willing to help students who are in needs. I am currently in Semester 6 which I am nearly finish my study. I am going to miss this place and my beloved lecturers.
